Full Time Hospital ACA Position

We are looking for a dynamic and caring individual to join our fabulous team of Animal Care Auxiliaries at our Hospital.

Role

The role includes working in all departments of our busy 1st opinion and Referral Hospital, helping in wards, theatre, dispensary, and exotics. The role will include husbandry of all inpatients, feeding, walking, basic care, assisting our Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons, maintaining the cleanliness of the building and smooth running of day-to-day operations/tasks.

Hours 

40 hours per week (range of shifts 7am-3pm, 10:30am-6:30pm, 2pm-10pm)

Weekends 1:4

Bank holidays on a rota basis.

Candidate Requirements

  • Min 5 GCSEs grade C or above (must be in Maths, English and Science +2 others)
  • Full, Clean Drivers Licence. Driver Licence is a requirement to help out with deliveries and branches visits.

Veterinary Surgeon 

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon (full or part time, we are open to discussion)

Our tier 3 hospital is a training practice which is fully equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, various scopes, dental radiography, CO2 laser, laparoscopic equipment, 64 slice CT scanner and a 1.5T MRI scanner.

We are located close to the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester with great airport links. We are also close the beautiful countryside of Wales and the Lakes. We have a close relationship with the referral side of the practice.

You must be client and patient care focused with an interest in working your cases up to a high standard alongside a brilliant team. Individual progression is encouraged.

Hospital RVN role

The Practice

Rutland House is a very busy, RCVS accredited first opinion and referral practice with a team of 20 vets and 50 nurses at the main hospital.  We also have 9 branches in the surrounding area.  We have an amazing team of nursing staff including ACA’s, SVN’s, RVN’s and Diploma holding RVN’s. We are currently looking for another outstanding RVN to join our wonderful team.

The Role

The role will rotate throughout the hospital spending time in wards, theatre (referral and 1st opinion), dermatology, medicine, exotics and dispensary looking after a varied case load to a very high standard. 

The Candidate

Must have a passion to deliver a high standard of care to both clients and patients.  The ideal candidate will enjoy a variety of nursing duties including patient care, nurse clinics, lab work and surgical nursing. 

Shift Patterns

•7-3pm / 10.30-6.30 on alternate weeks with a week of 2-10pm every 8 weeks (approx.)

•1:5 Weekends, this is a Saturday OR Sunday

•NO OOH! We have a fantastic OOH team but there is availability to pick up additional paid shifts!

•BH’s min 1/year (double pay and day of in lieu)

Part Time OOH RVN

We are currently recruiting for an RVN to Join our fantastic OOH team.

The role

Working with our fantastic OOH team to care for patients in both wards and theatre setting and helping to assist with emergency situations. Assist the vet in consults if needed, triage patients when required, answer the phone, deal with clients, take payments and infection control.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have amazing in-patient care skills, good anaesthesia experience and knowledge and a passion for providing emergency care to a varied case load.

Shifts

Friday Nights 8:30pm-8:30am with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts covering annual leave.
